Power Calibration Area Error

I'm starting to get pissed off with my burner. After over a hundred burned CDs (data, audio, and a couple video) the damn thing suddenly can't calibrate the laser power for the life of itself. This applies in EVERY program - FireBurner, EZ-CD, DiscJuggler - you name it, it f***s up. The only thing I can use is CloneCD (because I can un##### the power calibration button) and then it coasters about 1/3 of the time because the power isn't set right.

I don't have Nero installed, that damn EZ-CD tray icon is disabled, and I shut down Daemon Tools before burning. What the hell is wrong with this damn burner?
