Civilization 3

I've been reading that people are having problems with their PATCHED backups (Eg Original CD contents are copied to Hard Drive, Cracked EXE/No CD patch applied to the copied contents and then the entire copied contents are burned onto a CD-R) of Civilization 3. Basically backups are being made successfully but the game will not run. Heres the problem people have been writing that they are experiencing. When trying to to run the copied CD, the Splash Screen/Install Screen comes and goes within a few nano seconds. I've been experiencing this too. Basically to get the game to Install, all you need to do is open Windows Explorer, go to your CD Drive with the Civ 3 CD in and then find the Setup command, double click it and the game SHOULD start installing. Once installed you will not need the CD in the drive to play just click on any shortcuts for Civ 3 on your desktop or start menu. Everytime you patch the game with Official Game Patches you will need to go to GCW (gamecopyworld.com) to get the latest Cracked EXE/No CD which matches the Officail Patch Number. For Civ 3 I think we are up to 1.117f or something. Hope That Helps.
