DMC Demo Test Swap

I have a us/ver4/1C/u5/neo4.1 ps2. All is ok, but I've yet to try the infamous dvd swap (no dvd burner, so no dvd-r's yet, working on it...)

Has anyone tried this:

Last night I got a DMC demo for $2 at the game store so I tried swapping with my orig. MGS2 and Jak & Daxter dvd's. These have smaller toc's so they should boot, right? WRONG!

They DIDN"T boot!!!!

Then, I used MGS2 as the orig. and swapped with J&D, and it booted. To verify the different toc's I did it vice-versa and MGS2 didn't boot. I tried MGS2 and booted J&D again no prob. But if I used the DMC demo, NONE booted....what gives? Is this right? Does the other game HAVE TO BE a DVD-R if you're using the DMC demo? If I had used the full DMC I guess it would have worked. Is there only one version of the DMC demo, the one that comes with RE Veronica, right?

The DMC demo dvd says demo on it, but on the tv it said "Trial Version," not demo version. Whatever...

I thought the ps2 wouldn't care if they're both orig. games. I guess not.
What's the deal?

has your dmc demo got a bigger toc than the games you are trying to load coz if it hasn`t then you have no hope

I've read that the DMC demo has the same size toc as the original (4.37GB)

Anyway, I don't have a dvd rom to find out...

How do you find out about the toc size on a dvd anyway? Is it just a file or is it hidden and you need special sw to figure it out?

That's why I asked about possible different versions of the demo.

I guess it DOES have a smaller toc...

i think you can get a list of toc`s for most games from ps2ownz.com or from one of the links on there
