Anti-Mod Question - Already have modded PSX

Hope someone here can help...

I've a modded 5501-series PSX. I just bought DDR 4th Mix and get the 888 screen of death when I play it. After some research, I know that I need to make a boot disc or make a copy of my game and patch it.

While digging around the megagames.com site, I saw that there are several bootdisc images, patching programs, etc. This is all confusing to me as I've never had to deal with a bootdisc before. I've seen the term "swap-trick" thrown around but I don't understand what to do.

Basically, I'm hoping that one of the experienced folks here can offer advice on what I should do to make my game work. I have a good-quality burner that is fully-supported by clone-cd, Nero, and CDRWIN. I also have all of those programs.

I'm not a N00B to computers or making backups, but I am new to the PSX world. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Do you have game shark. Game shark codes can be used to get rid of the anti mod 888 screen and let you be able to play the game. I use that for some of the modded burned backup games that I have and it works fine.
