Colin McRae Rally 2 - copy

I have copied Colin McRae Rally 2. I made a full installation. Then I used a crack to disable the cd-check. Everthing was fine and I could play it.
Then I wanted to play it the next day. Suddenly I got the mistake 'error in hid.dll'. I would say, that this is a kind of cd-protection. But when I unistall CmR, the file hid.dll will not be removed. I can't remove it myself, either. I don't know what to do now.

Waiting for your replies,
Thx schnabaik

Yes, I know. I couldn't imagine that a game owerwrites windows-files!
But, it seems so,. A friend of mine sent me his hid.dll and changed them.
Then I was able to play Colin Mc Rae. Now it's running the third day. I
think the problem is solved.
But protections which overwrite windows-files, this is crazy. I can be
happy that colin hadn't overwritten the config.sys...

Thx so far
