Use Drawin's LOD crack 1.08 to crack 1.09!

I saw this in another forum of GCW. Someone posted it there long time ago and I tried it.
It works!
First apply the 1.09 patch.
Then download the Drawin's 1.08 patch for LOD.
Extract dload.exe to diablo II folder.
then extract game_crk2.exe to diablo II folder.
rename game_crk2.exe to game_crk.exe
and then run dload.exe to play!
I played the game with the copyed exp cd.
so I dun know if this works for no cd or not.
thanks to that guy i can now play 1.09~~~

Guess it was my post you read, in your situation you should be able to play D2X with no cd, try it. For your info I have a shortcut on my desktop to Dload.exe in the Diablo directory, that's how I start my D2X game. Be advised that this works for single-player, maybe not for Bnet sessions. I tried to use the Darwin's crack with D2: LoD v1.09 following your instructions, but when I start DLoad.exe, the game crash. Do u know why????

I don't know why your sys crashed without having been in front of your computer myself. Before you mess around with the files make sure you at least copy the SAVE dir from Diablo 2 to somewhere else on your drive so you don't lose your character info. Did the 1.08 crack work with the 1.08 update? If so then you are ok, let me know. Before I install any update I copy the entire D2 dir somewhere else and rename it. That way if things don't work out, I can at least get back to where I was in the game and still be able to play.ronach

he said that this method just doesn't work...
is that a bug of the dload.exe?
