I'm having trouble reading Safedisc CD's, but the Clone CD FAQ says
that my model (Ricoh CD-R/RW MP7083A) is a good model for both reading and writing CD's. I've tried reading Driver (a safedisc protected game) with both that drive and my Creative 52X CD-ROM and neither works. The CD-R/RW doesn't do anything, and the Creative drive just gets errors for over an hour while not progressing.
I followed the option instructions from the Clone CD games Database (nothing checked), so I don't know what is going on. I appear to have the right CD-R/RW and the right settings, what now? Thanks. |

Have you ticked 'fast error skip' that should speed it up.

don't worry about the errors, they are supposed to be there, usually upto 10,000.depending on your hardware they can take a very long time to read, but once you've got past them then it's plain sailing.like above(depending on your hardware)ticking fast error skip helps

Actually, I experimented some more, and ALL my CD's won't copy. When about 10-14% done it stalls and locks up my computer, or Clone CD goes crazy (and I can't open my CD-R/RW drive until I restart).
I gather it is some sort of driver problem. But I don't know what/where to remove/install. Any help? I think someone mentioned IDE drivers, but I don't know where to find them. |
