Does it matter what cdr media I use to backup games?

Does it matter what cdr media I use to backup games? I use crappy pny's, and plan on burning the games to sony cdr's when i'm done. It is ok to use the pny's, or will coppying only work on certian media?

I use those cheap, completely silver, the top gets all dirty with your fingerprints CD-Rs. They haven't failed me yet.
