Help on backing up Need for Speed High Stakes

I tried to back up my Need for Speed High Stakes US/NTSC game with Nero 5.0 and couldn't. I've backed up all my games with this program and its working fine. I play my games on my playstation with a Plugmod. When I load the backup after psx has read the demo(original), I get the "Loading" screen from the game(Need for Speed), but it never loads. When I use the original to boot psx, and then make the change, the backup workes fine. I also looked for Proteccion fix patches and did not find any. I used varios speeds on my cd-rw and did not work. My question is does anyone know if the game needs a patch? or any info on options to use for backing up this game?

hmm.
thats the forth NFS game isnt it? I have that and I can back it up without any problems, as far as I know there is no patch for it.
Incidently, I used CDRwin.
