How to burn a patched backup for Fifa 2001

Hi all,

I got an imported Japanese PS2 with a MOD-chip build in. I try to burn a backup of Fifa 2001 (PAL)
created bin- and cuefile. Then i created a PPF-patch. Patched it and burned backup. Burning goes well, but i can't get the game started using the swap-trick ( Anyone out there with the same problem?? Do i need a PAL-to-NTSC patch??
What am I doing wrong??
