Need help burning DC games...
Alright, I'm completely confused on what to do, I searched everywhere and got nothin on how to actually burn a DC game onto a CD. I hear you require a certain program, Disc Juggler, I tried loading that up, but nothing happens, I can't even find the "Burn" screen to select what to burn onto the CD. I downloaded 18 wheeler, and it was 11 different files. Here are their names:
e-18wus.001 to e-18wus.010 and e-18wus.sfv I tried burning them all onto a CD using Adept CD, (I forgot which program.) and then putting in the Utopia "CD Loader v1.1", after which taking out the CD and inserting the burned 18 Wheeler one, and nothing happened. So I went back to the comp, looked in the e-18wus.001 file through WinRar, and saw the file named "e-18u.cdi -->" which is around 737 MBs. I looked at all the rest and noticed they were called "e-18u.cdi <->" and then e-18wus.010 was "e-18u.cdi <--". But only one would fit on an 800 MB CD, so I thought that wouldn't be it. I then looked at e-18wus.sfv and saw this: ; Generated by WIN-SFV32 v1.1a on 2001-05-25 at 14:08.53 ; ; 20000000 14:02.58 2001-05-25 E-18WUS.001 ; 20000000 14:03.26 2001-05-25 E-18WUS.002 ; 20000000 14:04.00 2001-05-25 E-18WUS.003 ; 20000000 14:04.28 2001-05-25 E-18WUS.004 ; 20000000 14:04.56 2001-05-25 E-18WUS.005 ; 20000000 14:05.20 2001-05-25 E-18WUS.006 ; 20000000 14:05.44 2001-05-25 E-18WUS.007 ; 20000000 14:06.08 2001-05-25 E-18WUS.008 ; 20000000 14:06.32 2001-05-25 E-18WUS.009 ; 17519620 14:06.54 2001-05-25 E-18WUS.010 E-18WUS.001 308AF956 E-18WUS.002 83817E79 E-18WUS.003 6E3B8520 E-18WUS.004 8762180C E-18WUS.005 C4FB05EB E-18WUS.006 E4688BC7 E-18WUS.007 2F210F3F E-18WUS.008 A881AE07 E-18WUS.009 4E048D29 E-18WUS.010 E223570B So I imagined it required the files .0**. I've given up on what to do because there are no tutorials out there. Anyone who can help me out, can they? |

Right then, open up the .001 file with winrar. Click on the EXTRACT TO button, and select a TEMP directory. Click ok and then winrar should ask you if you WANT TO PROCESS ALL FILEs IN ARCHIVE, click yes and winrar should extract all the files .001 to .010 (taking a couple of minutes depending on your comp speed) and leave you with one fairly large .CDI image.
After you have this .CDI file as you say is over 700mb, but don't worry cuz i've never d/l an image that will not fit on a 700mb cd. Open up discjuggler and select NEW, then select CREATE DISC FROM CD IMAGE and a new window will pop up, select SOURCE as the .CDI image you have just put into the TEMP directory and discjuggler should report the actual running minutes of the image (as i said b4 never over 80 mins), stick in a BLANK CD-R and click ####t. Any probs post me back!!

Can I do this with a 74 minute CD-R, or can I only use the 80 minute ones?
And I don't see "CREATE DISC FROM CD IMAGE", just: CD Cropy from the same CD Recorder CD Player to CD Recorder CD Player to CD Image CD Image to CD Recorder CD Erase CD Digital Audio and Data Extraction CD Pre-Mastering to CD Recorders

Alright, here, I think I got this so far:
I picked CD Image to CD Recorder, (Using a 74 minute CD) and it was 2 tracks, 72:43 minutes. I click on "####t" after getting the .cdi file, and it ####ts doing something, then it says something like "Continue to next track? If OK, make sure you have inserted a blank CD." I tried not doing it and clicking ok, and it didn't do it, so I aborted, re-inserted the CD, and a 3 second track was recorded, and that was all.

Sorry i didn't get exact menu selection ok, but you are right up to this point. (if the image says it is below 74mins u can use a 74 min cd-r
You say that it gives you an error message, i assume you insert a blank cd b4 clicking ####t?

Yes well, here's what happens:
I insert a blank CD (this is after everything is set) I click "####t" in the mid-left Here's what it says ####ting from the top (Burner info not included): I-240 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: Mounting media... I-241 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: Scanning media format... I-246 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: 18USA_ECH, 2 session(s), 2 track(s), 72:42:21 MSF (327171 blocks, ~751471 KB) I-246 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: [01] 00:06:00 MSF, CD-DA session I-246 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: [01] 00:06:00 MSF, Audio track I-246 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: [00] 00:00:00, 00:02:00 MSF, Gap index I-246 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: [01] 00:02:00, 00:04:00 MSF, Audio index I-246 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: [02] 70:06:21 MSF, CD-XA session I-246 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: [01/02] 70:06:21 MSF, Mode2 track I-246 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: [00] 02:36:00, 00:02:00 MSF, Gap index I-246 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: [01] 02:38:00, 70:04:21 MSF, Mode2 index I-467 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: Task configuration: source: 00000256h, destination : 00004100h I-279 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: Write session 1 of 2... I-280 6/25/01 5:46:57 PM - Task manager: Writing track 1 of 2... E-17820 6/25/01 5:47:05 PM - HP CD-Writer+ 8200 (Bus 1,ID 0): (CDB: 35000000000000000000, Status: 040002, Sense: 052c00) Command sequence error or program area is or is not empty I-279 6/25/01 5:47:08 PM - Task manager: Write session 2 of 2... I-280 6/25/01 5:47:08 PM - Task manager: Writing track 2 of 2... ÀÀÀ Then there, I get a pop-up saying: ####t writing next disc? If you click OK, please make sure a blank disc is loaded in the first selected unit. So it only writes one track per CD.

Which version of DJ are you using, also in the advanced tab make sure the box that says add post gap to third party images is not #####ed.
This sounds like you are trying to make an image of the disc, you are sure u selected CD image to cd recorder?

mmmmmmm...... Maybe your cd writer doesent like DJ i know some people have problems with it, but personally i have never had any trouble with my HP burner.
Right then you have some options, try d/l DJ V v3.00.780 from ####://go.to/selfboot download section(it's the one i use) and try the same as above. If still no luck convert the .cdi to a NERO (.nrg) image using CDI2NERO and get yourself nero burning sofware and try burning with that. If still no luck (but this is drastic) you can rip the game files from the .CDI using CDMAGE and then follow echelons SB tutorial and burn with CDR-WIN.

Alright, thanks that helps a lot... I would have neer gotten this far without any help.
Also, I have an HP burner too CD-Writer Plus 8200 Series I'll try getting the newer Disc Juggler, but what about the fact that it is over the amount of my CD-R? The file is 703 MBs while my CDs are 650 MBs.

Hey mate that's the same burner that i use so we must be close, if you go to the web site i have put on here which i am on now the newer version of DJ has a 300 sector fix for alot of burners this may be the problem. Cuz people have trouble burning the 300 sector track sometimes, get the new version now and try it.
By the way i suggest you use a CD-RW while youre practising cuz you don't want to waste too many CD-Rs, just make sure you get a good burn with a CD-RW b4 proceeding to a CD-R (by the way the CD-RW will not work on your DC without modification so dont try it cuz it won't work). It doese'nt matter that it is over 700 mb cuz youve already told me that the actual running time is 72 mins ,it is so big cuz the DJ setting and file info are also stored in the .CDI image but are not burnt..... Please don't worry about the size (mb) cuz i burnt the exact same game on a 650mb disc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
