Question [Newbie question] CIU vs ASIS

Please be kind!
I'm trying to learn basics from this whole new world for me.

What would be easier for a newcoming?

Is there any alternative (easy to use if possible) if all I want is better compression rather than a fancy good-looking installer?

Thanks beforehand.
And I apology in advance if (probably) all this have been discussed here before.

I would say ASIS is easier for beginning.

You can choose between Normal Mode and Compact Mode (Compact Mode is without any images).

Agreed with KaktoR.
For what you want to do, ASIS is easier to get into it. CIU is more advanced and time-consuming I can add to create the installer.

If you want something even easier... I can say this is one of the easiest ones: https://fileforums.com/showpost.php?...48&postcount=1

I have long way ahead.

I tried compact mode and I think I'd be easier with a step-by-step guide.
However I understand that devs like creating things, not that much fully explaining how they work

Anyway, I'll keep doing some more testing, until I learn.
