Hey Chris,
I had that problem a couple of years ago when chipping my best mates Playstation in the end, we unsoldered the chip and started from scratch, needless to say it was a very long hour but its been working fine every since. So maybe ##### to make sure all the wires have a decent connection on the chip and board. good luck Dal
