Sounds to me that your CDR Drive does not support on the fly EEC record regeneration. This affects some Phillips/Freecom drives ie: CDD3610. What happens is this..... You patch the image with a couple of bytes changed. You burn the image to your blank CD. Your CD writer detects the changed bytes and "Corrects" them using the ECC record stored in the image file. Result: Your burned CD is IDENTICAL to the unpatched image! You can solve this by using a little program on the BIN file after patching called ECCRegen. This will recalculate the ECC record in the Binary file so that your CDR drive doesnt correct it. You can download it from eccregen.cjb.net Hope that helps! |
