Freezing At Load Screen....

Hi Guys,

I'm also getting this problem, it loads a few screens with the storyline text etc then just hangs. Loading circle stops moving, music can still be heard, have to force quit out of it. The game is brand new just out of box, had a small issue with online activation so manually activated it in the end; any other ideas how to fix this?? Only thing I can think of is the graphics card but its never had probs with other games - its a pretty crap Intel Media Accelerator x3100, and while I thought of getting decent RAM/Processor from Dell there were no upgrade options for the graphics card so foolishly went ahead with the purchase a few weeks ago....
Any ideas????

Are you sure your video card is officially supported?

Seems to be a sound problem, some people that have this problem solve it with:
"for me the loading-30-mins-bug has to do with my soundcard (audigy 2 zs)!
if i disable it via device manager the game load withtin 30 seconds!"

I try it but nothing...
This is for people that have audigy card
Try it and write what happen plz!

there is a patch v1.01 that solves problems with a specific sound card among other things.
It may help.

the loading-30-mins-bug
I had this problem on my sons WinXP PC, I changed the compatability mode to Win98 and it fixed the long loading problem.

That's a good one, Grumpy. For playing a game designed for XP/Vista you must put it in Win98 compatibility mode. Ubisoft is priceless. Didn't laughed so munci since they released a Reloaded crack for the customers who bought Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 (direct2drive edition). The patch in question was 1.03. Priceless. The quality of games and tech support it's skyrocketing in the wrong direction....

LOL, yes I tried many things to fix the slow loading on my sons machine, and I mean many things, then as a last resort (and I honestly didnt expect it to work) I changed the compatability setting and like magic the game now loads a hell of a lot faster.

Also try lowering the sound acceleration (Windows XP: Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, Volume tab, Speaker settings frame, Advanced, Performance tab, Hardware acceleration) and/or disabling EAX support and/or up-/downgrading your EAX driver.

If you're using the 3GB Ram-Switch for WindowsXP/32bit - deactivate it!
I've got rid of freezes and bluescreens by removing the / 3B/ USERVA=2990 value from the boot.ini.
Btw...Not using any kind of crack for the game.
