But can't you play PSX games on a PS2 anyway, without any modification?

@Joe, Yes you can.

@BrutalAl, Not trying to be mean or insult you in any way but this is the most senseless question i have read in quite a while. What exactly are you trying to do??

Sigh

My modded PS2 sends out a mixed PAL/NTSC signal when it plays backuped NTSC PSX games (it kind of emulates NTSC in a PAL psx emulator), my television wants either PAL or NTSC to be able to display a proper picture, not a mix of both at the same time.
When i play backuped PS2 NTSC games however my machine does not emulate anything, it playes them in a clean NTSC mode, so the picture displalys correctly.

So, if you could make the machine run PSX games just like it runs PS2 games my problem would be solved, so i figured that if the machine thinks the game is a PS2 game it would run it like a ps2 game.
Also, maybe a ps2-memorycard could be used to save game progress (this is otherwise not possible with psx games).

Happy?

First of all loose the attitude right now! Dont come here asking for help then catch a attitude because we ask you to fully explain your problem. In fact you can just figure it out yourself. Judging from your attitude your not going to like the answer anyway. Thread closed!
