I studied this ripping DC games a while sometimes ago and I'm sure if you use full working equipment it's impossible that you damage your pc.
ok maybe you have a very old pc and when you let this machine run for a while(like 24h or so) when you rip a dc game "maybe" your pc die
but if this sould happens your machine was so old that Bill "I rule the World" Gates himself coded the first Operating System for your PC
