Sims 2 University Help

what is mini-image???? i install the sims 2 university and then cannot start the game already? i already copy the two file "SIMS2EP1_1.MDS & SIMS2EP1_1.MDF" to the tsbin then i start the game (my friend tell me that no need to install the daemon tool and mount the image, just copy & paste the two file in the tsbin then it will work). then it appear "please ensure the sim2 university disc in the drive" and cannot go into the game. please help me i want to play the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
