why do some game freezes at certain point?

some backups freezes at the 3rd stage or some fixed point in game, it either freezes up or says dirty disc error.

I'm using crextion 3.1 with ximage, why is that? is because the program i use? is crextion 3.1 the currently best or should I try something else?

Well, it is probably either one of these things:

1. missing/corrupted game file
2. the media
3. dvd-rom
4. Bad burn
5. Bad iso

-There is always a chance of files corrupting during the ftp process, but it is very unlikely.
-If the dvd media works fine for all the other games you've burned, I would rule that one out.
-If you have a thompson drive, well, it is possible, but since the other parts of the game plays fine and it freezes at the same point, it probably isn't your drive
-A bad burn can be the problem
-bad iso can be a problem as well.

What I would do is recopy the gamedisk to your PC. Then, re-create the iso image and try and burn it again. That way, you are retrying to burn, going against all 3 of the probable things that may have went wrong.
