Please help,cant play US Q3A or Unreal T online.

Every time i try to play my US copies of Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournement online I get the message " cant hook up to master server " and quake 3 goes ok right up to the bit where it scans the internet,its worked b4 i have no idea what the problem is im hoping some one out there might know,please help if u can. And i could really do with some uk/european server addresses for these two games,thanks and stay lucky
