If your talking about a codebreaker ya I've had similar problems. (Not sure if the Xploder is the UK Equivalent) Gameshark or Action Replay works fine. It seems that you have to keep telling the system to start game. Do you get an error when you put in your backup?? I need a little more info if I'm going to help.

This is the famous "have your cake and eat it too" problem.

What you have to do is use your originals.

You know, the nice store-bought copies that you of course kept after making backups of them?

Don't tell me that my cheap Apple Pro actually does more than the all mighty messiah. I have no problems
booting CD-R or DVD-R's backups from cheat software. I usually use my backup of Codebreaker 4, no problems
at all. The memory card file that the Codebreaker creates is actually called Xploder, if I remember correctly.

I guess you could try the old CD Swap with your PS2 drive cover off, or flip top, knife trick,
slide card... , any of those retarded methods !

If all your looking to do is use a cheat code disk try the game shark. I use it with codes on my V7 with messiah2pro 1.3 and it boots my back-up with cheats no problem. I have never tried the Exploder so I cant comment on that.
