what modchip did you use, better yet, was the original xbox dashboard still named xboxdash.xbe?
If you renamed the dash and don't have up to date bios, then the clock in the xbox would reset, and would not be able load the xbox dashboard because it is not named xxboxdash.xbe. Also, which chip did you use? If you did a nosolder, they can slip out of place if the xbox is moved or bumped

i've used X-elixis pro and it was ok and the dashboard too.i've played several times . i'm thinking that probably is the soldering ,something needs to be resolder(i'll check). The dashboard is ok.i did it with the same way , i've done 21 xbox's.

so xboxdash.xbe was never renamed or changed. If you soldered it, then try flicking the disable switch (if you put one on). If the mod is disabled, and the error still appears, then the chip soldering isn't a prob. The only other thing i can think of is that one of the cables mioght not be connected all the way (likr the dvdrom).

Yeah thats sounds like most likely a solder connection got broke
From what it sounds like if the X Box worked fine until you moved it then likely one of the solder points broke, seems that people with solderless chips when moving the XBox the chip sometimes gets loose so thats all I can think of

i have tryed:
to boot from a cd:nothing check the cables kto remove the chip: the error still occures (i have changed the xboxdash.xbe, but i can't understand why is this a problem, i don't have access to change anything now. The xbox worked fine ) The only thing i can think about is the HD .Is there a problem to get the xbox to microsoft, to fix it (ones i have removed the chip, not the files to hd althought) ?

Quote:
Re-install either the original harddrive, or use another x-box to reload the original backup onto it it. Remove the chip and return the x-box to original spec, start from there. |
