Plextor PX-708A DVD±R/±RW ? is the best on the market right? ( for Sub-$200)

What Format should I burn backup?
Which Media?
With what (FREE) program? Link?

The DRU-510A is just an updated version of the burner that I have which is a DRU-500A and I love it.

Plextor PX-708A is faster than the DRU-510A

Sony is comming out wiht DRU-530 around December to try to catch up wiht the PX-708a
