contradiction?

Ok, so for instance, i downloaded the boot cd-clone cd version (currently running 12X10X32 burner w/ full version of cone cd)...first off...is this uptopia version? ok, second, there's a whole page on how it says you cannot copy a game w/ a regular burner...but u go to the FAQ section and it says, just use reg CD-R's...someone also told me...that you could download ISO's but not make direct copies....doesn't make sense...I really dont go to these forums that much, so if anyone could just email me at nickdel40**********com and enlighten me...would appreciate it.
