Yeah. This is a problem I have found that certain media is fine for simple games ( Tekken4,Simpsons Road Rage etc) but no god at constant streaming games like GTAVice, Time splitters2 and Max Payne. I also found that if you buy a 2X cheaper media then it plays a lot better if you burn it at 2 speed rather than being cautious and burning slowly. I guess that on cheap media you can like overfry the write surface if you burn too slow.
One simple answer that will sort everything out!! Always use good quality media for every burn. I got fed up of trial and error and some games working and some not. Got a shed load of DVDMaster and Traxdata and backed up all games again and now all work as good as originals no probs. Saves time and money and you can burn at any speed and get a decent backup.
