Yeah, I had that problem trying to give my brother a copy of the game. If I remember right for some reason the big sound file was corrupted. He ended up bring his pc over and copying the game across the lan. Here's something to try though:
Start installing the game. When it asks for cd 2 END TASK do NOT exit setup Now browse the 2nd cd and copy all the files over to the Dir you made when installing from the 1st cd. I have had success doing this with games in the past. When I buy I game it's a FAMILY purchase!
