There is two types of patches. self executables and ppf patches. Self executables are easiest. Take the game, make an iso image of it onto your hard drive and run the patch. it will usually ask you to type in the path of your cd image then will apply the patch. then burn the image back to cd. ppf files require a program called ppf patch engine available from psx copy world (
www.psxcopyworld.com)which take you to the same site as mentioned in the last reply. this is a simple to use program. Use cdrwin or blind write to make a cdrwin compatible image on your hard drive. run the ppf patch engine. it will have two boxes on it. in one you put the path to your cd image and in the other you put the path to your patch. then hit the box that says patch it and burn the image back to cd. psx copy world also has loads and loads of patches on it and a list of games that are protected and need them. You can also get patches that are for unprotected games that give you the option to run the game in Pal or NTSC and also trainer patches that give you extra game options like infinite ammo or invincibility. Any probs with any of the above give us a shout.
