Anyone know how to get CNN Soul Calbibur to default to 60hz??

Is there any way to get the CNN re-release of Soul Calibur to boot up at 60hz NTSC instead of 50hz PAL?? It seems like it would be simple to do with a hex-editor if the person just knew where to look...

Wonder why they didn't put the pal/ntsc selector at the very beginning of the boot-up process, instead of after the title page loads, where the screen is flickering all over the place.
