Help with segaGEN
Has anyone used the Echelon self-booting toolkit on it and gotten it to work? In the tutorial for selfboot, it says you have to scan for the SCIS bus or something like that. Well, i don't have a scuzzy. Any other way to do that?

You need to scan the SCSI bus to find out your burner's ID number. Run "cdrecord - scanbus" and get your number. It should be something like "1,1,0". Replace it in selfboot.bat : "set SCSI_ID=1,1,0".

i tried that, but it doesn't find one. I don't have anything scuzzy in my PC. So i guess thats the reason it doesn't find anything. Does this mean that i can't selfboot things with echelon?

Did you try "cdrecord - scanbus" ?
It should give you some numbers even if you don't have SCSI. I manage to use CDRecord on a friend's computer that didn't have any SCSI. Maybe your burner isn't ATAPI compliant. Try to download the latest version of CDRecord. |
