neverwinter nights Multiplayer

hi all,
I just got a copy of neverwinter nights from a friend, i installed it, put the crack on it and it worked fine singleplayer, but when i go to multiplayer it says i have to make an account, so i do that and it says cd key invalid, i just want to play it on my Small network i have at home, if there is a way to be able to play on the net or LAN games can someone tell me?

if you edit your hosts file and add the line

127.0.0.1 nwmaster.bioware.com

for win2k the file is in

C:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc

just open the hosts file in notepad and save it, dont save as a text file

more difficult online but lanned this should work

Im not sure if this is going to be helpful but the Neverwinter Nights play disc is burnable using cdclone. I know this because i installed my friends copy and then burned it and it works great.
