Just a few ideas... Isn't the stick switched into read-only mode? Have you tried it with another PC? have you download and installed the latest version of the USB 2.0 driver of the motherboard/chipset?

Yeah have both sticks in another pc, both work fine no problems at all, have also got what appears to be the latest drivers, the only thing that bugs me is that everything else works bar the memory sticks! Any other ideas much apprecaited am really scratching my head
