OK guys I'm seriously starting to wonder about the existence of some form of protection on Tony Hawks Underground. Here's why...
I have backed up this game using many combinations and have tested them on several different ps2's.., only a few common factors remain; I have tried three brands of -R media, one of which is known to work on at least one of the ps2's as I have other backups running smoothly from the same media type. -- NONE PROVED SUCCESSFUL. I have tried two brands or +R media -- NONE PROVED SUCCESSFUL. I have made about twelve backups in total -- NONE PROVED SUCCESSFUL. I have used three different types of DVD writers -- NONE PROVED SUCCESSFUL. I have used two different programs to make the backups (Nero v5 (& v6) and RecordNow MAX 4.5 with PX engine update) -- NONE PROVED SUCCESSFUL. I have tried these backups on three different Ps2 consoles -- NONE PROVED SUCCESSFUL. The remaining common factor between them is the use of a No-solder mod, that uses an AR2 & pressed DVD boot disk; I have tried many different boot discs with large TOC's including Devil May Cry, PS2 Demo Disc, and even the Tony Hawks Underground original. -- NONE PROVED SUCCESSFUL Looking at the credits in the manual I see that some implementation of RSA encryption has supposedly been applied, but that's nothing new... Can anyone confirm they have a working backup of this game? If so, which modchip or swap solution are you using? Thanks to all
