Hitman: Codename 47 backup
I recently bought a copy of Hitman: Codename 47. It's a european re-release distributed by SoldOut. I tried lots of different no-cd cracks, but none works. So I want to make a backup iso of the whole shebang instead. Problem is, it seems to be a bit difficult to make a backup of it. Can anyone tell me what program & options I need to use? Thanks.

Can you run it from your original?
I remember an interesting thing about this old game: when I tried to play it (the europen multilang -original, of course- cd) I wasn't be able to make it run. But when I put the NoCD it runs fine!!! LOL. The crack I used was for v1.2 (multilang) created by DBZ, not sure if found here or in megagames, check it. Anyway it is also posible, since it is a re-release, the protection or the files protected has been changed. The old game was safedisc 2, a quite simple one to backup with alcohol. Check your game.exe version and the protection using PID or clonyXXL and be sure to apply the correct version NoCD. Hope this helps

I know we are talking about an old game here but if it is a Re-release and has got a newer protection on it then 'ClonyXXL' wont be much good as it is really outdated now.
Go with either the 'ProtectionID' (PID) or 'Aray Scanner'. Both are excellent programs. EDIT: And yes 'GilFuin' I have also come accross a few older games which wont actually play from the original disc but will play fine from a backup or by using a NoCD. These game are usually the ones I got thru some promotional thing like in a cereal packet. One of the earlier Need for Speed games is one of those which wouldnt play from the original and one of the MotoGP games? Strange but true?

I managed to make a copy with CloneCD that worked fine mounted. It was SoldOuts version thou, so no CD-crack worked, but since the whole image is ~350MB it's ok. The original CD worked fine, but also, this was already Build 192 on the disc.

Build 192... there is a crack for this (german version) on gamecopyworld. Have you tried to update the gate to the newest version avaliable of your lang and then crack it with the corresponding NoCD?
