Rome total war:barbarian invasion problem 1.4

My problem is when i try to launch barbarian invasion an ingame message pops up "Select an item from the list" and the campaign doesn't start...Help me!!

- Do you have a original cd/dvd?
- Do you try to play the game with or without a crack?
- When you use a crack >> Is the game working with original cd/dvd?

Yes i have the original dvd of the game...The gold edition is the one that i have....I try to play the game with a fix(crack) of the game 1.4 version the one that i have....When i use the fix the game doesn't work too..Only Rome Total war works but the expansion barbarian invasion doesn't work...Plz help me...

You made sure you got the BI crack and not just the RTW crack?

yes i'm sure....As the folder contained two files the total war and barbarian invasion files....And if i didn't have the BI fix then the game wouldn't start...The strange thing is the message pop's up in the menu when i select the camp. mode "Select the item from the list"///The message is not from the windows application but an in game message..Maybe that can help...
