Media Question
I just have a question about CD-R Media. Do black CDs work better than normal silver ones? Say Memorex Black v.s. Maxell Plain? (Sorry if this question was already asked).

Stay away from black media. Most users have nothing but problems with these, as they have low reflectivity.

So what would you recommend? I have heard that black media is the best because lasers read them better.

Nope, black discs suck. Just about any brand will do. Stick to name brands and you will be fine.

I would basically think of this as an issue of reflected light. Black is the abscence of light, so there would be less light reflected. I would guess that red discs would be best, if you have to use colored discs, and purple being the worst. Anything else would just depend on which end of the color spectrum it is on.
