Question about XBOX BIOS

Hi guys, I got a question for you. Ive done all kind of searching and reading but something is still a little unclear to me. I plan to get an XBOX and get it modded with a xecuter 2 lite. I understand that you use EvolutionX to be able to setup and FTP with XBOX to backup games. (...and flash BIOS too? ) My question is what exactly are the BIOS files for? I see EvoX has rls "EvoX D.6 BIOS" but does this flash the XBOX main BIOS or the modchip BIOS? Same with the Xecuter 2 Lite (v4973) BIOS is this for the "main XBOX BIOS" or the modchip? If its for the main XBOX BIOS do you have to flash the BIOS to be able to use all the features of the modchip. (ie. no patch hack).

The bios are for the chip not the onboard xbox bios.
