Playing backed-up games
First of all, I'd just like to say sorry for all the n00b questions I've been posting - I'm brand spankin' new to the whole mod-chip scene.
I know that a mod-chip is required to back up Xbox games (to get EvoX on the Xbox). Are mod-chips also required for playing backed up games? i.e. if I were to bring my disc down to my friend's house, who's Xbox is not modded, would it run? Thanks for all the help guys! You have been very helpful and informative. |

hi
like quall said you need a mod chip to play all backed up games however ( and i know this is not part of your question). i have found that the xbox can play copied dvd movies without a mod chip if it was created using a programme called dvdxcopy, just thought you might like to know. ![]() |

I heard you could play copied DVD movies also, but I heard it had to do with the media you used, and possibly the drive in your xbox. I've tried may things that havent worked. I might give that program a try, I was looking for it ^_^ Thanks!
