Dishonored 2 v1.77.5.0

This game was an absolute pain, i was trying to get it on a single BD25 disc but without efford. I reduced it by 5 gb using reflate. Tried xtool, ztool, pzlib and even different zlib dlls (one of those worked for inflating it with xtool without any problems but crc error on installing). I will post my result i got after these 2 days but sure i will look closer to it in a week, im just tired of this game for now.

Code:
Title: Dishonored 2
Version: v1.77.5.0 (incl. all dlcs)

PC: 4 Cores 3.9GHz (up to 4.3GHz) + 8GB Ram + SSD

Ripped Files: All foreign languages

Original Size: 53.6 GB
Compressed Size: 24.7 GB

Method: reflate:l9:s210+srep:m3f+lolz:d128:mc1023 on (see filelist)
                 binkpack on *.bk2 files
                 srep:m3f+lolz:d128:mc1023 on rest of files

Compress Time: 14 - 15 hours
Install Time: 45 minutes

CRC Checked: Yes
Code:
Fileslist: On this files you can use the reflate method

/base/game1.resources
/base/game1_001.resources
/base/game1_002.resources
/base/game1_003.resources
/base/game1_004.resources
/base/game2_001.resources
/base/game2_002.resources
/base/game2_004.resources
/base/game3_001.resources
/base/game3_002.resources
/base/game3_003.resources
/base/game3_004.resources
/base/game4.resources
/base/game4_001.resources
/base/game4_002.resources
/base/game4_003.resources
/base/game4_004.resources
/base/shared_2_3.sharedrsc
Code:
This files inflates but get error on installing:

/base/game2.resources
/base/game2_003.resources
/base/game3.resources

If there is a possibility to make something with this file, the game can get
to the 20-21gb total size. I tried it but nothing worked.
As said, im too tired of this game to make more tests, maybe next week i will try some more things and come up with a better method but for now i will not see this game for some days hahaha.

Note: *.vib files are bk2 files, but some files give unpack error if you use BPK on them (I wasn't in the mood to test file by file and sort out the faulty ones). If you do this you could save about ~2GB for sure.

92.8GB => 53.8GB

Time:
Code:
16:15:53 - Starting Data1.bin.001 creation
 3:13:01 - Finished Data1.bin.001 creation
 3:13:03 - Starting Data2.bin.001 creation
 3:20:28 - Finished Data2.bin.001 creation
 3:20:32 - Starting Data3.bin.001 creation
 3:25:44 - Finished Data3.bin.001 creation
Edit: You will get 52.3GB with BPK on *.vib files (rename them to *.bk2). Just make sure to exclude the 1kb files, they give unpack error.

I think you have answered your own question "whatever audio format to lossy audio format...

Any recompression of media files can be applied to this, but the question is, can you hear the difference? On most audio equipments if you have done a good conversion you will not hear the difference or at least you will hear a little bit, it depends on the source too. On good equipments maybe its more audible. There are another factors, if the source is mono,stereo,5.1,etc... I think the best thing is to try it yourself and hear if you notice any differences.

Have you read the post? It didnt work. Managed to compress it with xtool but crc problems on unpacking. Maybe finding correct .dll files would do the trick but tried with many different versions...

use ztool:max:c256m:t75p it should work but might take too much time as I tested long time ago

Ok, i will try it later on the smallest file. Tried ztool yesterday too and yes, its slow but i waited. After trying to install i got crc problem. Lets see if it works with c256m.

Edit: And i thought that reflate was slow like a turtle, 20 minutes ago i started with a 500mb file, still on the first step. But hey, if it works, time doesnt matter (at least i hope it wouldnt take a week xDDD)

Edit 2: After 35 minutes its done, 571mb-->36mb with reflate 571--> 47mb. Tested it now without crc issues. I will try it now with one of the files that didnt worked with reflate but this looks good. Many many thanks DiCaPrIo !!! The chunksize value didnt even come to my mind while i was testing it. If this works maybe i can try out xtool with the newest zlibwapi.dll, this dll was ultra fast but got the same problem then ztool yesterday. At least its a good point to start.

Try it and look if it works great without problems.
I agree with you. I know that Srep v3.92 compresses better and is more reliable but in this specific case (*cpk files), if I use srep v3.92 I have CRC errors while with a v3.93 I do not find any problem.

Boh .. I do not understand use a method or a masked method, what means "all the other files = Lolz" if the first method already uses as a last lolz compressor.
In my short experience I noticed that in some cases if I use Srep I do not always have a good earning. Again in this specific case if I use only Lolz I have a gain of about 0.5GB total that I lose with a compression Srep+Lolz, maintaining a good decompression speed.

Is this a questionable choice? It is probable, however, this way, I got a smaller size than many other repack in circulation.

Best Regards and byez from Italy.

Good to know that Srep 3.9.2 doesnt work with this specific game files, at least for me its a usefull information. Maybe you can add a little note to it on your post if someone else tries to compress that game.

Thanks NexusIV !!!
