Newbie trying to get how compression/conversion works.
I'm trying to apply this over my Sekiro clean files. When I choose the custom compression provided by KaktoR (bpk+oo2reck+srep:m3f+LZMA-MT) the process starts but the estimated time only goes up. I started it about 30 minutos ago and it's only 4% processed at the moment. What am I doing wrong? My CPU is a Ryzen 2600 @4ghz, well cooled. RAM works @3200mhz CL16, if that matters. Thanks beforehand |

oo2reck take some time. It's finished on 10% (like most precompressors), then srep should start.

Does BPK lower video quality on Bik/BK2 files? I can't seem to find a definite answer. It really helps with those file types, but no so if the compresion is lossy. Edit: forgot to mention I'm looking at Ghost Recon Wildlands, devil mentioned that they chose not to use BPK and I was wondering if there was any undesireable effects of using it.

BPK does not lower the quality.
Simple answer: Compare file hashes.

All plugins for x86/x64 (+ game engine plugins) are all included. Compression methods are listed in Arc.ini, use _PACK.ME.bat to pack. Many thanks to RAZOR19211 for the fantastic tool! Last edited by Masquerade; 31-03-2020 at 15:30. Reason: Mistake in Arc.ini, reupload as attachment. |

I'm having a small issue when trying to compress Imperator Rome. The assets aren't packed, and most are .dds or .bmp images.
Because of this, I'm using the following method: Code:
srep+lolz/$jpg=packjpg+srep/$mscimg=msc:dxt=1:ddsraw=1:bmp=1:bmf=9+srep+lolz/$binaries=srep+exe2+delta+lolz Code:
$jpg *.jpg $mscimg *.dds *.bmp $binaries *.exe *.dll This happens every time I use MSC and BMF, I can always use TAK without error. I tried dropping lolz and using just msc+srep but still I can't manage to fix this. MSC does report that there was an error creating a .bmf file (temporary file) but I don't know if these two problems are linked. If anyone knows a little bit more about MSC, I'd greatly appreciate some help. Thanks in advance! |

Because of this I never use MSC with dds images.

Today I learned it's a good idea to test precompressors on their own to see if they make a difference.
