just a simple question, please help me!

Well a simple question for all you experts anyway!

Why is it not possible for me to create an image file of my “who wants to be a millionaire 2nd edition PC cd-rom?

I have tried doing this with clone cd, and nero 5.5. all’s that happens is that my cd-rom drive just stops responding and reports an error when trying it in Nero 5.5.

There is nothing wrong with my drive, all other cd-roms work fine when creating an image or creating a back up.

What is the problem? Is it not possible to create an image of “millionaire 2nd edition”?

Cheers

Neo

Try using Clone CD

or try using Daemon-Tools Fast Dump feature.

Also, read errors from sectors ~800-10000 are normal - it's the copy protection. Download Clony XXL to get the correct settings to use in Clone CD.

If you can't make a copy of it this way then download a crack from one of the sites in the sticky topic.

Wink

Hi gh0sth@cker

Thanks for the tip, but I wont be needing it.

I tried this instead. Instead of trying to create the image by using my dvd rom drive, I used the cd writer instead to create the image and it worked a treat.

Very strange though I think, I have never had problems before using the dvd rom drive to create an image from a games cd.

Very weird

Any ideas why that particular game won’t work in my dvd drive???

Cheers

Most cd-writers are far better readers than DVD-ROM's or CD-ROM's especially when it comes to copy protected games
