Question Can't copy Riding Spirits!Help!

I am really new to this and this is only my second try, but I have encountered a problem. I copied my SSX with no problems using CDRWin, but every time I try to copy RS, I am given an error which reads "Unable to analyze disk layout. Illegal track type encountered." I think it has somthing to do with DVD rom? I have a DVD burner.
I have tried everything I can think of, but I just can't figure this one out. I know that this is the place where the experts hang their hats, so I here I am. Can anyone help me? It is probably something simple that I have overlooked, but I just can't find that "magic button".
Thanks in advance,
scarlettjanae

have you tried any other software besides cdrwin?

Roxio 6
Easy Cd Creator 6
Record Now Max
Nero
etc......
not all software works for every game. these are some good software programs that work well for most backups.
also what media are you using?
ritek dvd-r is one of the best

I have backed up many movies, but never any ps2s. I guess I am just confused. I have been seriously streaming over all of these posts and I am just missing something. The game says that it is DVD rom...I have Nero 6 so just in the last hour I made an image file, because I read alot about that here, but now I don't know exactly what to do with it! Do I just burn that to DVD-r and play or do I have to do something else.

you can read the stickies and see if there is any useful info there.
also search the forum for any related threads containing simular situations.

Ok...here's probably one of the dumbest answers ever, but I have no idea what version ps2 I have. As for mod chip, I wanted to understand this whole process more and know which would be best, so I purchased the swap magic system. I told you I was new at this...but swap magic and cdrwin worked beautifully for certain games. Now I have to figure out how to copy my dvd format games...that's where I'm lost.

Unhappy

So, now what? Do I just burn the image file onto a dvd-r? Is that how it works or do I need to do some sort of fix to the file or something?

Alrighty then, that did not work for me. I think I will get some different dvd-r disks too and try again. What is the best software for copying dvd-rom disks? If I am going to do this...I want to do it right!!
