Soldering Points on PS2 Board
I'm having trouble soldering to the PS2 main board, i've never had a problem up to now but the solder just doesn't want to take to the board. I've always used an electric soldering iron to coat the tip of the wire in solder before using my gas 0.1 tip to attach to the board. If anyone could spread some light on this it would be a great help.

Re: Soldering Points on PS2 Board
Did my PS2 Soldering Tips not provide the way forward?

Thanks
Thanks Charlie i'll try some different wire that may do the trick. The brothers will be well happy if it is that, as no one else round here would even think of doing it.

Using the correct wire does help but it's not going to stick unless you use flux spray and solder paste. These are a must if you want a quality install. You may want to have some de-solder on hand at the time of the install also.

Help
Anyone know where I can get some Flux Spray & Flux Paste i'm having a nightmare obtaining it. I'm in the UK if anyone knows a good place to purchase on the net. The only spray I could find was De-Flux is this the same?

I use a flux pen available from here. Sorry m8 but I cant link you straight to the flux cos you have to register, but go to soldering accessories and search owt else you need. Absolutely everything you need for chipping is here! I got a great set of wire strippers for 22-30awg
