Hoo-Rah! Found a SOUNDFIX patch for SoulCalibur but STILL can't get to work. Need DUMMY FILE HEL

I got the patch from DCCOPYWORLD for the sound fix. I apply the PPF to the 1st_read.bin file using PPF-O-Matic. It complains about the file size but I do it anyhow. It then says applied successful.

Is this correct or am I doing something wrong?

Then it says you need to create a dummy file.
What do I name it? Is there anything else I need to do when burning. Have CDRECORD as part of the SELFBOOT.BAT suite.

I also have DJ (all vers.) Nero 5(all ver)
and CDR win.

What would be the best method from the point I am at now to create a selfboot?

I tried the SELFBOOT.BAT but it didn't work.
I had named the dummy file zzz.zzz (in the hopes that the sorttx would put it last??)

I know I am new at this... sorry..

Keepin' the post alive.

While I'm at it, I will elaborate the above..

Essentially I follow the SCPPF patch instructions to the letter. However it totally skips the area of how to handle the dummy file. That is really all that I need help with.

It has you apply the patch to 1st_read.bin
Then it has you delete all the Right channel sound files. Then it says create a 227242000 byte dummy file. Then he says DONT ASK ME TO HELP YOU WITH THIS< THERE ARE PLENTY OF SITES OUT THERE TO HELP. I know this would be the best site for that.

I can create the dummy file but what do I name it and what do I do with it and where do I go from there? He says, to make selfbootable "follow Echelon's Selfboot instructions" although A)I don't have those, and B) I don't think they would mention anything about a dummy file.
