Hi! Here's a the address of Diablo2 cracks.

http://www.megagames.com/cgi/download/download.cgi?action=search&category=cracks&search= DIABLO II.ZIP

Copy your playdisc and replace your game.exe on harddisk with that in the archive. Now it must work.

Patches and Cracks should only be used by those persons who are unable to make a 1:1 copy or they just have a fetish with doing so. If you can make a perfect copy of your original CD why would you need cracks etc??

Oh yea, NOT EVERY CDWRITER IS CAPABLE OF UTILIZING CLONECD...PLEASE DO NOT GIVE OUT BAD INFORMATION, ESPECIALLY IF YOU YOURSELF HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE CORRECT ANSWER IS!!

NOW THE ANSWER TO THE FORUM QUESTION:

You are being confronted with Safedisc2. This program is not allowing you to make a 1:1 copy of the Play disc. You can try clonecd version 2.8.3.1 or a previous version -or- use blindsuite. Either one of these programs can copy the cd if your cdwriter is capable of doing so...and mind you MANY ARE NOT!!

Does anyone know how to copy Diablo 2 play disc i've tried many things

Bob,

*****Warning, This takes a while!*********

I have finally made a working copy of diablo II Play disk. I'm not sure if there was some residual data left from when nero erased it that cloan cd did not write over or what, but maybe someone can answer why this works! It may provide a solution to this type of protection.

My computer specs: asus p5a-b w/amd k6-2 500 utilizing bus mastering software; 96mb pc100, sony crx-140e ch/2 (CDRW).

1. download both trial versions of clone cd and nero.
2. use cdrw disks.
3. with nero, create and burn an image.
(this disk will not work yet).
3. use nero to quick erase disk.
4. with Cloan CD, create and burn an image.
5. now try the disc.

these are the settings i used in nero 5.0 and Cloan CD 2.7.8.1; if i did not list it then do not select it.

[NERO 5.0]
Read Options: Read media catalog number and ISRC (slower); Ignore illegal TOC type; unreadable data (continue copy); DATA Mode 2: Write Uncorrected; Audio Tracks (Read Audio data with subs & Ignore read erros)
Burn Options: determine maximum speed; write; finalize; speed 4x; Write method (DAO)

[Cloan CD 2.7.8.1]
Read to image file: NOTHING SELECTED
Write From image file: dont repair subchannel data; always close last session.

Good luck

Hm, with my sony crx140e it worked creating an image with clonecd with extracting subchannel datas. Then I burned it without selecting any option and I got a well working copy. I think the action with NERO is unnecessary.
