GTA 3: Someone give me some straight answers!

Can someone out there please give me a straight answer about how to play GTA 3? I've read previous posts about this issue, but there still doesn't seem to be an answer to my problem that works.

My problem is getting GTA 3 to run with sound and without the insert cd 2 message coming up. I've tried the myth crack and the deviance crack (and whats with the b-loader.exe file?), but in both cases I still keep getting the insert cd 2 message. The only way I've been able to bypass this is to delete the two files sfx.raw and sfx.sdt from the games audio dir. When I do this I'm able to play the game, but then I get no sound whatsoever. I've also copied cd 2's sound files into the games audio dir (when I copy cd 2's contents into the games' audio dir, should I still leave those two files in there or delete them?). and I still get no sound. So my question is do I need those two files in the games audio dir to get sound in the game? It seems like the only way I can get the game to run is to delete those two files.

Someone please help clarify exactly what I have to do to play the game with sound!
