using no cd fixes

The idea of being able to play a game without finding the cd is great. Can anyone teach me how I can do it, being a beginner

Basically the instructions are usually written right next to the no cd file your downloading, sometimes Ive had trouble with the ones I download not working, but most do, just do a full install of the game,then extract the no Cd patch to the game directory of that particular game and run the patch.
