Hitman on Steam?
I'm a big sucker for the Hitman-games, and now I see that I can buy them through Steam. I like the idea of this, with no-cd out of the box, sort to speak.
Now, is there any performance difference on games that I run through Steam? Better/worse? I have all the Hitman for both PC and Xbox, but is there any kind of benefit for me to buy them on Steam also except for the reasons I asked about?

No performance loss. Only problems I've encountered with steam are:
a) activation wouldn't work (for Bioshock. Altho I guess thats Sony's fault). b) patches are 1-2 days late (Company of heroes...) But other than that, I recommend you go for it, especially if you have the bandwidth ![]()

I have the bandwidth.
But as you say in point 1. No performance loss. - No kind of gain either? Perfectly equal?

Speaking of Steam, is there a way to like order them on a DVD ? My bandwidth isn't the best one out there, so I can hardly let Steam run for a week for a single game :-/
Activation isn't a big problem, playing online isn't either. It's just that with 1k you're not supposed to dl games, that's gay :x So far I bought Valve games in stores, just like HL2 - they force you to install Steam, which grabs the 'backup files' from the DVD and installs it (just like the stuff you have when you back up any of your downloaded games to an archive - there's an option inside Steam)... So I was wondering if I can get some of the Steam-only games (eg Sam & Max or The Ship) without having to download it... Is there maybe some sort of 'inofficial' way to get the files so I could ask a friend or so to get the backup files for me and I just have to buy and activate the stuff ? |

Revival time!
I bought the Hitman trilogy with Hitman 1-3 and all games comes fully patched and doesn't require the disc to be inserted when playing. Kind of removes the point with Steam, so I thought I'd let u know.
