DVD Decrypter I/O Issue
I know that this issue has been talked about around the web, but it seems that I can't find an answer for the particular problem I'm running into.
My main three programs for backing up a DVD is; DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink and finally Nero6. In addition I have installed the Adaptec Layer 4.71.2 & the ASAPI ver 5. Whenever I run Decrypter w/ Microsoft's SPTI, I get poor results with the outcome of the final product. The movies either pixilates or freezes... another words, coasters! When I use the ASPI layer drivers, they turn out great! What I did, to deal with the new cryption code put out by Sony was to install a new program, "PgcEdit" that uses DVD Decrypter to handle the new encryption. BUT... something went wrong with my option to select certain drivers in the I/O of Decrypter. When I try to access the ASPI layer I Get this Error report: I/O Error! Device: [0:2:0] [E:] ASPI SRB Status: 0X00 Interpretation: SRB being Processed Host Adapter Status: 0X00 Interpretation: Host Adapter Did Not Detect An Error Target Status: 0X00 Interpretation: Good CDB: 12 00 00 00 FC 00 Interpretation: Inquiry Sense Area: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 Interpretation: No Additional Sense Information ************************************************** ************************************************** *************** I/O Error! I'm running on ASUS A7N8X-E Nvidia chipset w/ updated bios, a gig of dual-channel memory & an AMD XP 3200+ processor. Including Nvidia nForce 2 ATA controller (ver. 2.6) running in the Ultra DMA 2 - Ultra 33 for the E: drive & Ultra DMA 4 - Ultra 66 for the Plextor. I downloaded the ASAPI.dll and installed in my root directory and when I try to access this through Decrypter I get this error: ************************************************** ******* I 11:13:35 DVD Decrypter Version 3.5.4.0 started! E 11:13:44 Reason: General internal ASAPI failure ************************************************** ******* No matter what I try to do, I can't access any of the layer drivers that I previously had access to. I even had a look in my registry and don't see anything out of the ordinary... at-least I think. Can anyone help me with this issue? Man I sure would appreciate it. Thank you... mac P.S. : I forgot to add that I'm using a quality DVD+r's that has a burn speed of 8X and I burn the @ 4X, so there's no issue of burning too fast!
