In general the answer is no.
First off there are no homebrew programs that allow an xbox to rip a dvd movie. Mainly due to the fact that no one has coded a dvd decrypter for the xbox. Because most movies nowadays have CSS encryption. Secondly PC's are easily able to do such projects that its quite pointless to make an xbox do something your pc can do easier. Tyler!

You can use dvd2xbox the same way as you back up your own games
Then you can just play it from the hdd. |

@autofil
Are you sure about that one guy? I dont think the Xbox reads movie dvd files off the hdd. And if they are encrypted they wont play right. Tyler!

dvd2xbox can rip them, like all browser programs. However, like Tyler_Durden said, it won't decrypt them. So basically you will end up wil a couple very large files, oly containing sound and a black screen.
There is no programs that will rip with the xbox. That is a task that a PC must handle. Besides, it would be so much longer to do even if they did make one for the xbox, unless you have a really bad PC that is.
