DVD movie to VCD backup.
I just got a CD burner.. I don't know what brand it is.
Is it possible to back up a movie to SVCD without a DVD-drive and DVD burner? If it's possible, what software do I need?
this site insists it possible. Do I have to buy that software?
I'm looking forward to your answer.

You still MUST have at least a DVD rom in your computer. Then it is possable to use software to make a VCD/SVCD of a movie on 3 to 4 cd-rs. It will take hours still.
